This awesome light up Wizard Staff features a large, light purple amethyst crystal.  The staff in the picture is the one you will receive. It is unique.

The most amazing thing about this staff is that it lights up! Two ways! It is 62 1/2" tall (about 5 and 1/2 feet) and 4 1/4" at the widest. It is made of molded and shaped PVC with a bendy twist in the shaft. The designs are done in hot ethylene-vinyl acetate, followed by a four step painting process making it look like wood. It is finished with a poly sealer. The bottom is fitted with a rubber tip.

The staff is lighted by sticking your pinky finger (or eraser end of a pencil) in the small hole on the side of the staff near the base of the crystal and pushing up on the flashlight button inside. The RGB LED is activated by turning the round knob at the head of the staff. All the batteries are replaceable. Instructions are included, and can be seen here.

Amethyst is a type of quartz colored purple by the presence of manganese and iron. The name comes from the Greek ametusthos, which means “not intoxicated.” Legend says the beautiful traveling maid, Amethyst, angered the wine god Bacchus. To save her, the goddess, Diana turned her into a white crystal. A regretful Bacchus poured some of his wine on the crystal giving it the purple color. For this reason it has become known as the “sobriety stone” and is said to prevent drunkenness and protect travelers from attack.

We have had a good experience shipping this way; It normally takes up to 4 days but can take up to 10 days, which is highly unusual. If you are in a time crunch you can choose USPS Priority Express shipping which will be calculated during checkout. In the shopping cart checkout, there will also be an option to choose USPS First Class Mail, which obviously won't work for this large of a package! If you would like us to ship to Canada, please contact us and we will set up a special order based on your address.
