This is an awesome wizard staff/ walking stick / scepter with a 3" battery powered plasma ball surrounded by "flame" shaped hammered copper. The staff in the picture is the one you will receive. It is unique.

It stands 67" tall. At its widest, it is 4 and 3/4". If Nikola Tesla had had a staff, this would have been it!

It is made of molded and shaped PVC. The designs are done in hot ethylene-vinyl acetate, followed by a four step painting process making it look like dark wood. The slightly twisty shaft is about 1 and 1/2" in diameter and fits nicely in hand. The bottom is fitted with a rubber tip.

The staff is lighted by a sliding switch on the side of the head of the staff. The batteries are replaceable and instructions are included.

The lighted staff shoots electric fingers to the glass orb! This Wizard staff will complete any magical or steampunk costume and will make a great gift for the Wizard who has everything!

Plasma orbs were first invented by Nikola Tesla. They contain noble gases surrounding a center electrode. When exposed to high voltage energy, plasma filaments jump from the electrode to the glass.

Plasma globes may interfere with some medical devices (e.g. pacemakers) and computer touch pads. The orb is made of real glass!

To change the batteries: Remove the two screws on the side of the shaft, pull off the top of the staff and then pull out the battery holder, (caution: it is hard-wired to the orb) and replace the 4 AA batteries. Slide the battery holder back in and replace the screws. (If both screw holes don't line up, turn the head of the staff 180 degrees.)

SHIPPING INFO: Our Free Shipping option uses USPS Priority Mail and includes $100 insurance. We have had a good experience shipping this way; It normally takes up to 4 days but can take up to 10 days, which is highly unusual. If you are in a time crunch you can choose USPS Priority Express shipping which will be calculated during checkout. In the shopping cart checkout, there will also be an option to choose USPS First Class Mail, which obviously won't work for this large of a package! If you would like us to ship to Canada, please contact us and we will set up a special order based on your address.
